Somewhere around BBC Space Themes (REH 324) BBC Records suddenly decided they didn’t need the & Tapes branding anymore. I guess cassettes were so well established by this point that it didn’t need help from the LPs.
This was also the case for the singles, where they appeared in picture sleeves. The logo on the picture sleeves was BBC Records from now on, even as the label remained & Tapes.
That’s not the end of the & Tapes story though.
